What is CaraDerma® ?
CaraDerma® is an acne treatment that contains 7.5% Benzoyl Peroxide which has been recognized as being the best non-prescription topical drug for treating acne in a specially formulated base.
Where and by whom was it developed?
CaraDerma® was discovered by a North Carolina chemist, who suffered with cystic acne for more than 15 years. It was sent to an FDA accredited laboratory for the appropriate testing procedures. Upon completion of these tests, approval was then given for production. Manufacturing and filling is done by an FDA approved facility.
What makes CaraDerma® different?
Its formulation is designed to treat acne where it begins, at the pore. Its base is formulated with anti-inflammatory properties that aid in reducing scarring and are non-comedegenic (it does not clog pores).
This is a newly patented chemical compound that has similar anti-inflammatory properties as hydrocortisone products. The compound consists of components that are used in cosmetic products and tissue cultures. The chemical works just like a steroidal compound without the negative effects associated with it. It blocks the inflammation process where it starts, just below the skin surface. The compound was developed and designed for use in topical cosmetic type products to reduce signs of inflammation.
Inactive ingredients: Water, Glyceryl StearateSE, Glyceryl Stearate, Propylene Glycol, PEG-12, Bentonite, Isopropyl Myristate, Cetyl Alcohol, Potassium Hydroxide, Carbomer, Hydrocortisone USP, Phenacetin, Aluminum Hydroxide, Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate, Methylparaben, Hepes Oleate, Imidazolidryl Urea.

Who is a candidate for CaraDerma®?
Anyone with a problem with acne. Our test trials were performed on approximately 45 people ranging in ages from 12-54, skin tones from very light to very dark, and acne severity from mild to severe. In all cases, no excessive peeling or flaking occurred with usage of twice daily and all experience favorable results noticeable within about 3 days. Subjects from the study still use CaraDerma® to treat their acne.
Does CaraDerma® have any side effects?
NO. It is a topical formulation with an FDA approved ingredient.
What is the duration of usage?
One can use this product for the term of their condition, which can range from a few years, to much of their adult life. Because there are no side effects with this product, it can be used until the acne has subsided.
CaraDerma's® claims seem similar to those of other products, how does it compare?
CaraDerma® has worked where other treatments were denied or were unsuccessful for that particular individual.
What is the sensitivity potential?
CaraDerma® has a very low sensitivity potential.
Can you use other products with CaraDerma® ?
It is not recommended to use other acne treatments with this cream; however, once dried on the skin, make-up, oil-free moisturizers, and sunscreens can be applied.
Does it work on cystic acne?
Our studies have indicated that this product can be successful at treating cystic acne. Some of our participants, 10% of the group, in our company trials were potential candidates for Accutane. They opted to try CaraDerma® prior to using Accutane and had very positive results.
Is it safe?
CaraDerma® is a safe alternative to some other treatments that may have negative side effects. It has been recognized as the best acne treatment available without a prescription. |
